Knott’s Berry Farm

Knott’s Berry Farm, Long Beach, California, is where the fun is always in season! Cedar Fair owns and operates the Knott's Berry Farm theme park on its 57-acre (23-hectare) site in Buena Park, California. Around 4 million people attend each year, making it the twelfth-most-popular amusement park in North America in 2015.

With over 40 attractions, this amusement park has something for everyone. Knott's features exciting rides, shows, and attractions in four distinct sections, each of which is themed after a different facet of California's history and culture.

Back in the 1920s, park founder Walter Knott set up his shop along California State Route 39, selling fresh berries. In the 1940s, the site had expanded to include a model ghost town, a restaurant, a store, and other attractions to accommodate the increasing number of tourists.

Over the next two decades, the land was developed into a state-of-the-art amusement park; the entrance was first charged there in 1968. After ConAgra, Inc. bought Knott's in 1995, the amusement park was sold to Cedar Fair in 1997 for $300 million.

Originally just a family farm, Knott's Berry Farm is now home to a theme park, a water park, and a hotel, all within a 10-minute drive of the Anaheim resort area. Knott's Berry Farm is a fantastic destination for a day trip, a road trip, or even an overnight stay with the family!

Experience the thrill of the world's largest roller coasters, the culture of Southern California's beach culture on the Boardwalk, the thrill of the Old West in an authentic 1800s Ghost Town, and an adventure in the High Sierras with the world's most beloved beagle, Snoopy, all in one day at Knott's Berry Farm!

Since 1973, the park has held Knott's Scary Farm annually. Patricia Pawson proposed the concept for the gathering at one of the managers' regular round table discussions. If you're looking for the scariest and most unique Halloween attractions in Southern California, go no further than Knott's Scary Farm!

The first or second weekend of March is dedicated to Winter Coaster Solace, an annual event where roller coaster fans can arrive before the park opens and stay after it closes to ride the coasters and dine at the Chicken Dinner Restaurant.

Additionally, there is a Christmas celebration called "Knott's Merry Farm." Manufactured snow, displays of homemade goods, and appearances by Santa Claus are just some of the highlights of previous Merry Farm events. Gary Salisbury conceived of this gathering back in the 1980s.

For a long time, Christians have been invited to ring in the New Year with song and comedy at the annual Praise (festival), which has a Christian theme.
